How It Works

What If Football recalculates league tables from the match list for the selected season and league. Everything runs in your browser, so changing a scenario does not need a server request.

Included teams and defined tables

When you deselect a team, every fixture involving that team is ignored. Defined tables work the same way: a preset such as London teams or Yorkshire clubs includes only fixtures where both clubs are in that selected group.

Edited results

Edited scores override the original full-time score for that fixture. The table then uses the edited result for points, goals for, goals against, and goal difference.

Half-time mode

In half-time mode, each match uses its half-time score as the final score. If half-time data is missing for a fixture, the app keeps the original full-time score and shows a fallback notice.

Sorting

Tables are sorted by points, goal difference, goals scored, wins, and then team name.
